Hi, I am so delighted you are here! Let me introduce myself….

I’m Sarah a Holistic Lifestyle & Nutrition Coach and Plant-based Chef. I have forever had passion for food, cooking, eating, creating and sharing recipes. My interests in cooking shifted to the functionality of nutrients in our food while supporting a close family member, struggling with a chronic digestive disease, who started to see improvements with changes we made to their diet. Food, as I discovered, had the capacity to heal (or hinder!) the body, and so my personal and professional journey into the world of nutrition began.

Finding great, healthy alternatives or allergen safe substitutes in place of foods that aggravated digestive symptoms was tricky at first and involved much in the way of experimentation in the kitchen to ensure meals were still super delicious and satisfying. I absolutely love creating and designing recipes, but I do appreciate not everyone who has had experience of having to cut out specific food groups finds this easy! And even though there has been a massive shift in availability of ‘Free-From’ alternatives in the supermarkets, which is incredible, many of these are sadly heavily processed making them less desirable for regular consumption. Finding fresh, nutritionally balanced meals then, that cater to a range of different intolerances or sensitivities, or delicious recipes that don’t require masses of kitchen equipment and hours in the kitchen, can be even harder.

I am fascinated by the many interconnections between food, our digestive systems and our emotional and mental wellbeing, My particular area of interest is gut health, which began over 12 years ago, when I started brewing and learning about the benefits of Kombucha (a fermented drink containing prebiotic cultures). In fact, I am still constantly learning about the complexities of our gut microbiome and the impact that food and fermented foods can have for physical issues such as digestive discomfort IBS - irritable bowel syndrome, Crohns, Colitis, fatigue, headaches / migranes and emotional issues such as depression and anxiety.
